Over yonder, at givesendgo, there is a fundraiser set up for the next book that wants to be written:
I discussed some of what makes this book necessary and different from the other books here on that post. What I want to say here, though, is that had the Church and societal institutions worked as they should have, this book would all ready be written without asking for a dime. Indeed, the original How To Do Nothing Well was written like this, and was independently printed and bound by yours truly.

What made that case different was there was a shop I could place the book in for sale after I had taken those steps. Nowadays, having a brick and mortar is a risky proposition for anyone since large swaths of the population have been radicalized to try to cause trouble with anyone whom they think they might disagree. Being on the leading edge of that, and seeing how there was not a definitive response to it, it is easy to see why we are where we are now.
Now, I hear some of you saying that Trump is a response. Sure, Trump is a response. However, on certain issues, Trump does not appear to have a plan to solve the problems that have been caused by this radicalization. For instance, when it comes to gay marriage, the Trump administration does not say much on the subject that I have been able to find. Rather, the intention appears to be to placate certain portions of the Republican voters who are homosexual. No one seems to want to color in the picture from passing gay marriage to all the transgender madness we have now. It used to be a kind of joke, in fact, that if we passed gay marriage that it would turn everyone "gay". People used it to show the slippery slope fallacy. In this case, though, that slippery slope proved to be predictive in that the agenda behind these issues was never about logic. It was about a kind of insanity.
So, in a round about way, you can kind of blame gay marriage and the radicalized trans people of the type that shot Charlie Kirk for requiring a fundraiser. Does that sound insane? Yes, yes it does. However, it is a kind of bellwether for where we are. It is time to learn to stand on firm Biblical principle, and not convenient slices of the political pie. There is no gay marriage in the Bible and there are strong words written about such relationships. There are strong words about what believers are supposed to be doing and how the church is to comport itself. What we are seeing is often not that, as the church construct has become feeble and seems not to believe what its own books say that it ought to. This book aims to be a kind of stop gap to that. If you feel so compelled to support such work, a donation would help its birth. Of course, if you love abortion, do not bother. That is another Biblical matter strongly spoken against...
